The monumental Fortress of La Mota is the main tourist attraction. Inside it houses the Life in the
Borderland interpretation centre, an innovative way to find out about intercultural relations in the
area during the Middle Ages.
Take a stroll through Alcalá and you will find lots of quaint, peaceful spots. From Saint John's church
and the Las Cruces quarter you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of a borderland area where
people have come to be known for their welcoming and cosmopolitan outlook. Among the events
