Women That Soar
celebrate you
Grant would tell you she never planned to launch WTS. But, she
did it anyway because, according to her, "It was my calling and I
sought God's guidance daily on the direction of the company and
platform. I told Him if he made it a success and [if] it's what He
desires of me, I'll never take His name out of it. I would always
acknowledge Him."
This year, Grant awarded the following 2013 honorees who are
the embodiment of outstanding, successful female entrepreneurs:
Princess Reema Bandar A. Laud for International Business,
Paulette Martsolf for Entrepreneurship, Nell Cyr for Legacy, Dawn
Neufeld for Leadership, Anne Davidson for Philanthropy, Donna
Orender for Sports, Kim Elenez for Media, Aly Scott for Fashion,
Marta Fox for Civic, Teresa LaBarbera-Whites for Entertainment,
Cheryl Jackson for Community, and Landra Yancey for Business.
All these women demonstrated that they know how to celebrate
the brilliance within them. Grant invited celebrity guests actress
Regina King, radio personality Egypt Sherrod, and Rickey Smiley
co-host Ebony Steele, with feature performances by Grammy-
winning recording artist Michelle Williams, Grammy-nominated
singer/songwriter Kenny Lattimore, gospel recording artist Wess
Morgan, singer/entertainer Kertina Dauway, singer/songwriter Aimee
Proal, and classical contemporary vocalist Madelyn Brene.
