78 The thing that causes the most problems in the world is money. While we all need money to survive, for too many people in the world, money and material wealth are their number one priority. They forget that God owns the world, and that whatever we have is on loan for a short time. Most faithful people who are genuine do share everything, including their time, talent and resources, with the poor and disadvantaged. God knows who the generous people are, and rewards them in His own way! Some of the wealthy people are unhappy, because the more they have, the more they want! As a result, many are spiritually poor! Some people are born wealthy, and some become wealthy during their life. The world needs successful people, because they provide jobs and progress. Progress must be shared with the workers and the under-privileged. In doing so, God is happy with the progress His people are making, but do not become complacent. Remember that Satan hates God, and enjoys recruiting successful and compassionate people to turn them into thieves, starting in a small way, and then on to professional thieves. Their ‘egos’ will overtake their minds and, from then on, their previous principles will disappear, and material wealth will become their priority over God. As a result, they will never be happy again, because they will become prestigious, and anything that is available will not be good enough, because their relatives and friends already have that. When God created the world and man and woman, He provided all the essentials that we need for life on this earth. He gave us freedom of choice but, unfortunately, Satan took advantage of this freedom, and quickly recruited all the people who were too weak to resist him. As a result, the world has too many people supporting Satan, but they do not realise that what they think they will gain will not last long. In contrast, by trusting and believing in God and obeying His Doctrines and the Ten Commandments, they will gain eternal happiness. God does not create bad children. When they are growing up, children are innocent, lovable, sincere and truthful. Then, at a later age, they discover freedom of choice, when evil tries to take advantage of them. Unfortunately, too many of these end up supporting evil. It is hard to imagine that people fall in the evil trap.
