53 If the greedy people of the world would share their wealth, there would be enough of everything for all the world populations to live reasonably well. This would make God proud of us. Ego and prestige should not exist among faithful people. Unfortunately it does and, in some people, is the number one priority. It is a dangerous desire, because everything else becomes second choice. As faithful people, we are born to serve, not to be served, therefore our number one priority should be helping people less fortunate than ourselves. We all have something that other people do not have, so put ego and prestige ‘on fire’ and destroy both. There are many main events in the world, such as the Grand Prix, Olympics, Firework Displays and many more. Government and Religious Leaders of all Denominations travel around the world first-class, and stay at luxury hotels. Instead of fixing problems at home, why are they there socialising? It is an absolute disgrace to spend billions of dollars, knowing that millions of people around the world are starving for food and thirsty for water, especially in the poor countries. It is selfish with no respect for the suffering of humanity. It is wrong that many professional events world-wide are sponsored by multi-national companies, while events for disabled people are having difficulty in attracting sponsorship. It is time that compassion became the number one priority. Heads of national companies must not forget the under-privileged, the disabled, and the people who are suffering hunger. Supporting the disabled and the needy is more important than sponsoring professional sports. How often do we realise that to know God is a great privilege, and that we must take advantage of this to show other people who are not so privileged? When we meet up with people in need, we should not wait for them to ask for help. We should find out first how we can help, and do as much as we can with love. There are huge numbers of people in the world who are desperately in need. We should be looking out for them and, when we find them, to help them with love.
