47 So off he went, back to Hell, to find out that everything had changed, it was truly Hell. He could not believe the difference, so he went to Satan to complain why it was such a change. He discovered that the week he enjoyed being in Hell was a special ‘God people recruiting week’. Unfortunately, on earth, recruiting week is every week, so be alert that such a story does not happen to you. I am now at a mature age and, since I have been active all my life, I need to be careful when taking on projects that I will be able to manage them. In order to keep myself active, I decided to start growing vegetables, and I purchased twenty chickens to provide food for the family and to charities. One day, I collected a big box of silver beet and a box of beans, so I decided to take them to an Order of Religious Sisters, whom Helen and I have been helping for over thirty years. Their main project is to feed the disadvantaged. When I delivered the silver beet and beans, I asked them if anyone provided them with eggs. The answer was “no”. The same day, while working in the garden, a friend came along unexpectedly and told me that, next morning, he would go and buy food for his chickens. I asked him if he would do me a favour and buy twenty chickens for me, so that I could provide eggs for the Religious Sisters. The next day the chickens arrived. Fortunately, I had plenty of good space for them, and a safe enclosure where foxes could not get in. Now I am very pleased to tell the readers of this book, that I was rewarded by God the next day. I had to go to a property owned by my two sons, which they are developing for a housing estate. As I entered the gate, I saw a huge pile of soil and wondered why someone would unload soil in that place. So I drove between a tree and the soil. In order to get through, I drove close to the edge of the soil. After a few metres, I stopped and went to find out why the soil was where it was.
