22 As individuals, we should ask ourselves “not what the world can do for me” but “how can I help the world to be a better place for future generations”. Sacrifice is part of the learning experience in life. The pattern of history is that sacrifices come before benefits. Therefore, we should be grateful for experiencing sacrifice, and look forward to a brighter future. In the meantime, accept sacrifice, handle it with care, and pray that temptation will not take a hold on you. Do not give up, remember that “when the storm clears, the bright sun will come and shine your way”. Creed is belief in God, appreciating the nature of our body, and all individual parts that keep us alive. Believe God’s teachings and all the good things in life, and enjoy the company of other people. Belief in and respect for God’s creations is an excellent way to show our appreciation to our Almighty God! Relationships between families, relatives, friends, persons, groups and countries are priceless. Life without connections would be miserable and empty - we all need each other. Each one of us is obliged to foster relationships. Naturally, not all relationships are satisfactory; it is then that we must choose whether to pursue a relationship or keep our distance. Selecting connections is the secret of success in business or private life. A suitable connection can make you prosper; an unsuitable one can be disastrous. Do not be greedy by keeping unsuitable connections for the sake of material benefit. Be alert to relationships that ‘use’ you. If you are aware of this, move away slowly and unnoticeably. Keep on searching for genuine people, regardless of their occupations, creed or race. When you discover sincerity, hold fast to it. It is incredible that, in the twenty-first century, slavery still exists, not only in Third World countries, but also in the developed countries. It is demeaning to humanity, and people who practise it must be stopped and punished accordingly. God created equality in the human body and brain, for the purpose of thought and reflection. The only difference in humanity is material power, which is dangerous unless it is used with compassion and love.
