5 When the flood subsided, God told Noah to release the birds and animals and told him, together with his family, to multiply. God was very upset about the flood that wiped out all humans except Noah’s family, and God promised that He would never again destroy humanity by flood. God signed His promise, and the rainbow that appears from time to time represents God’s signature. Please note - God did not say that He will never destroy humanity again - what He said was that He would never destroy humanity by flood!! Because Satan is a supernatural being, he survived the flood and continues to hate God. Unfortunately, humanity continues to support Satan in his evil ways. Again, God was not happy with humanity and its selfishness, so He sent Moses to deliver God’s Ten Commandments to the world on Mount Sinai. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS I, the Lord, am your God; you shall not have other gods before me. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day. Honour your father and your mother. You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbours. FIRST SECOND THIRD FOURTH FIFTH SIXTH SEVENTH EIGHTH NINTH TENTH God’s message is simple and clear, so that everyone can understand. While the ten Commandments are serious requests by God for humanity to obey, the most unforgivable are: You shall not kill! You shall not commit adultery! You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain!
