opname. De afwezigheid hiervan is op dit tijdstip echter
onvoldoende bewijs van AVN. Indien echter 4 tot 6 maan-
den na het trauma de taluskoepel abnormaal dens blijft, is
er sprake van ischemie (AVN) van het bot.
Waar CT-scan de voorkeurstechniek is voor de beoordeling
van de fractuur in de acute fase en voor de postoperatieve
beoordeling van de stand na reductie (Figuur 5), is mag-
netische resonantiebeeldvorming (MRI) de beste techniek
om de uitgebreidheid van de AVN in kaart brengen.
Andere complicaties zijn osteomyelitis bij open fracturen,
posttraumatische artrose, vertraagde botheling en even-
tueel pseudartrose.
conclusIe
Fracturen en fractuurluxaties van de talus zijn erg zeldzaam
maar dienen door middel van beeldvorming nauwkeurig te
worden onderzocht . Een snelle en correcte behandeling is
nodig om ernstige complicaties en restletsels te vermijden.
