voor een merk dat zich intensief met monocultuur bezighoudt, is het niet zo eenvoudig
om met iets compleet nieuws op de markt te komen... tot op de dag dat het beslist de
carrosserie van zijn fetisjmodel onder handen te nemen. een autopsycholoog zou de
aanpak van de Mini wellicht diagnosticeren als een identiteitsprobleem, maar het is wel
zo dat de nieuwkomer gewoon de lijn doortrekt van de `ombouwtrend' die de constructeur
nu al een tijdje in de ban houdt. na de traditionele hatchback, de cabrioletuitvoering, de
clubman breakversie en zelfs de countryman sUv trakteert Mini ons nu op een coupé.
de autobouwer is daarmee nog niet aan het einde van zijn Latijn: begin volgend jaar
wordt er nog een roadsterversie verwacht en iets later nog een paceman sUc coupé.
Met de creatieve gezondheid van Mini zit het in ieder geval wel snor!
