Simply put, it is time for the Alumni Association to take its rightful place of leadership in guiding this institution's future. Trustees and school faculty. Presently, nearly 100 stu- dents claim Alumni parents, and I am informed we will shortly enroll our first Alumni grandchild. This says nothing of the fact that so many other graduates are now in positions of leadership and enjoy success around the country, (and the world), in too many fields to mention here. activity consisted of a handful of people having a drink at Harvey's before a football game. This year, the Association will help sponsor no less than ten separate events including Turkey Bowl, Career Day, and the Annual Alumni Golf and Tennis Tournament. Rather than seeking funds from the school to exist, your Alumni Association now contributes modest, but growing, sums to Shorecrest, which allows the school to attract ever better students. This includes a dedi- cated Alumni need-based scholarship award. This year we planned the first Alumni service project where we worked with undergraduates and Habitat for Humanity to construct a home in the Tampa Bay area. ise, but the Association needs your help to both become, and continue, as a cornerstone of the school's community. The days of simply holding the organization together hoping to someday become relevant have passed.
