The advice was simple. Gardner's bulldog--which caught the attention of Hallmark cards and gifts--motivated her to launch an endearing company known as Zelda Wisdom, a line of calendars, cards, books, mousepads, bank checks, cookies, and more, that bear the image of Zelda adorned in various costumes. Photographer Shane Young takes the pictures of Zelda all dressed up, while Gardner writes the motivational captions that coincide with the pictures. "Having inner strength is something that others notice when you walk into a room." Johnson's grandmother and mother encouraged her to "always be a lady," a sage piece of advice. "They would say, `Represent yourself as a lady and you will be treated like a lady." And with that legacy in mind, Johnson imparts some soul-searching advice for today's aspiring fashionistas. something John Foxx gets to experience on a regular basis. As Program Director and DJ of i93.3 KLIF-FM radio station in Dallas, Texas, part of his job is giving away money, tickets to the hottest concerts and events in town, meet and greets with popular celebrities and trips to wonderful destinations. "That moment of taking someone backstage to meet their favorite musician or changing someone's life with a cash prize is very fulfilling," shared Foxx. "Recently I witnessed two of our contest winners meet Taylor Swift, they were so excited. I'm grateful to be a part of the process that makes people's dreams come true." |
