Mothers
"Happy Mother's Day" should be something that we say
to mothers every day, not just on the special "Mother's
Day" holiday. It is easy to say the word "mother" but are
we just saying the word without placing real
value on it? Do we take the time to think
about our mothers and what they've done
for us?
Filmmaker Justin P. Wayoro says we must
first exercise "selfless sharing" to discover
our mothers and to understand who we
are and how they influenced us. His film,
Discovering Our Mothers, pays tribute to
the often-invisible strength, courage, and
heart of mothers. This is not just a movie; it
visualizes the emotions and truths shared by
great women.
Wayoro, who now resides in Southern California, moved
to the United States at the age of 5 from the Ivory Coast
of West Africa. His passion for video production has
attracted various types of actors to his company. This
film director, entrepreneur, and philanthropist makes it his
business to stay current, explore new ideas
and adapt new technology to his mission
of designing visual media that entertains
and educates.
Wayoro's philosophy on "selfless sharing"
is intriguing. The gratitude obtained from
freely giving information to benefit others
is priceless. Not only is the information
appreciated, it also permeates and reaches
millions of people, including the less
privileged. It would seem like a natural
thing to do, especially if we internalize our
thoughts, feelings, and needs to discover
who we are and appreciate how we became. One thing
to note is that a mother's love for her child is deep,
regardless of how life turns out. A mother's love endures.
Interview by Equanimity
"at one point in time, I had a vision
of sharing my life story to struggling
women. I would see reality shows
on TV that showed the negative and
people's struggles, but never the
solution to the problem. My vision
first came to me as writing a book
and when Justin P. wayoro and I got
together we shared our thoughts,
wishes, visions, ideas, and dreams,
and my life story then transformed
into a movie. The time was just
perfect for me to share my story. In
many occasions I had people ask
me for advice, so it was time for me
to let them know that everything is
possible. as Justin and I got closer
to each other, he wanted to know
how I came to be the person that
I am now and how I got there. I
shared with him my story and how I
never gave up. I am a very private
person so at the beginning it was
very difficult for me to open up. But,
god gave me the green light and
gave me that peace in my heart. at
that point, I knew that everything
was going to be okay and that he
was going to use me to help others
change their lives in a prosperous
and positive way."
