crowning jewel of the Michelangelo Towers in Sandton, the Blow the Whistle charity was
born. Blow the Whistle is a charity with a difference, it is a call to action encouraging all
South Africans to take back their streets and put an end to the crime, rape and abuse
experienced by its men, women and children. How? By blowing the whistle on crime. The
evening saw celebrities, who have already signed up as ambassadors for this worthy
and exciting cause, mark their support and commit to becoming "Whistle Blowers" for the
initiative. The event attracted media from across the country, including broadcast, print
and digital media, all of whom were eager to get involved in support of the campaign. The
launch included the handover of a cheque for R50 000 to the DNA project.
