Bakubung Bush Lodge has continued
to keep the flag of the Junior Rangers
programme flying, with the recent
incorporation of an educational game drive
for children. The event has to date been
a huge success. Other aspects keeping
the programme fresh and exciting include
the recent acquisition of a beautiful pair
of non-venomous Taiwanese Rat Snakes
that has paved the way for live educational
reptile demonstrations. An arachnid talk and
demonstration has also kept children and
adults alike interested in the programme.

The Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre, one of Legacy's premier hotels, was
recently the proud venue of the 10th annual Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS)
the first ever on African soil. Hosted in October this year, the ATWS is largely considered
the biggest gathering of adventure travel professionals in the world. The summit
brought together over 800 influencers in tourism, business, sustainability, community
development and conservation. The Legacy team erected six large marquees at the
hotel, transforming it into a truly African conference centre. The Swakopmund Hotel &
Entertainment Centre was also a proud sponsor of ATWS, having sponsored a value of
over N$75 000 to the summit.

DAVINCI Hotel and Suites and Legacy
Balance once again left their mark on the
community as they donated groceries,
water coolers, towels and old unused
uniforms to the Twilight Boys Home in
Hillbrow. Together with the Fortunate
Foundation ladies, the teams packed
the kitchen full of groceries, then moved
to the boy's rooms for some house
keeping. Beds were remade to DAVINCI
standards and a donated towel and
facecloth was placed on the end of each
bed for each of the boys.

Continuing with the partnership
established with the Heritage
Environmental Management Company,
with whom the DAVINCI Hotel & Suites
holds the prestigious Platinum status,
Legacy was invited to participate in
its International Water day initiative at
the Centurion Lake. A day was spent
cleaning the many bottles, litter, plastic,
clothing, trollies and tyres, among other
items, at the lake. Close to 50 black
bags of litter were collected, sorted and
recycled.
