Launched in Lyon in France in 1920, Palladium initially made tyres for the fledgling aviation
industry, layering bands of canvas underneath vulcanized rubber. They were so successful
that they soon equipped the majority of Europe's air fleets. In 1947, after the end of WWII
saw the demand for aircraft tyres decrease, Palladium used its expertise to make boots that
were as hard wearing as its tyres. The boots were so comfortable and durable that they were
adopted and used by the legendary French Foreign Legion.
Palladium has recently opened its first store in Canal Walk in Cape Town as well as
premier stores in Johannesburg. The Palladium range consists of men and women's boots.
