LIVING
indigenous species to name but a few. Today
it is only one of a handful of resorts that has
been able to strike the balance between
natural and architectural estate living.
The key to the design of the estate has
been not to saturate the area with homes
and chalets, but rather to spread these out
so that all can take advantage of its natural
component. It has been under the watchful
eye of designer Carlos Mota and architect
Rob Cary who have combined their skills to
create buildings in a contemporary African
theme that will harmonise with the setting and
compliment the natural beauty of the area.
At Elements the homes combine colour,
texture and lighting options, as well as
the astute use of space, glass, decks and
openings, to ensure that living areas are
spacious and are able to drink in the best of
the natural environment around them.
The Elements Golf Course itself, one of
the estates major drawcards, enjoys wide
acclaim and was ranked in the Top 10 Golf
Courses in South Africa for a number of
years. To ensure that the natural bio-diversity
is maintained, residents are encouraged to
plant only indigenous trees where possible,
in a bid the ensure that the wildlife is
encouraged to stay in the area.
A treasure trove of wildlife including
Kudu, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra,
Blesbok, Red Haartebeest and
Mountain Reedbuck
