his is a special issue for the
Legacy Inspires team as
we celebrate our tenth print
issue. So maybe it is pertinent
for me to answer the questions I often
get asked. Namely what is a Legacy
Lifestyle. What does it entail and
why do we speak of it so frequently.
To me a Legacy Lifestyle is not
just a way in which one lives, including the
trappings and places we surround ourselves
with, but rather also a way in which we live.
Life is about choices. We are presented
with paths on the road that will enable us to
make good or bad choices, but as they are
choices it is our job to make the right choices
for ourselves. This means bearing the brunt of
the consequences that come with that choice
and taking in our stride the future choices we
will have to make that have come as a result of
the many paths that these will lead to.
Leaving behind a Legacy is not simply
leaving behind a war chest of things that are
tangible, but it is the intangible things of the
heart that are what really make a difference.
There is an inner part of all of us that would
like to leave something behind that our children
and their children can live by. So in short a
Legacy Lifestyle is not just the way we live, but
the footprints we leave behind as well.
In this issue we look at some of the people
who are leaving behind a Legacy in their own
lives, such as David Hasselhoff and Achmat
Hassiem. Then we explore places such as
Brazil which itself is a place where dreams are
made and which is the home to inspirational
places and people. We also focus on the
Big Cats and their struggle for a place in our
ecosystem, Namibia and what it has to offer as
well as a jewel in the Waterberg.
We hot air balloon over Africa, catch a ride
in the new Vanquish and test-drive the most
stylish of speedboats. After which we
learn about the art of coin collecting
and the value we can derive
from making an investment into coins. Our
expose this issue is in Cape Town where the
team got to unwind in an African summer and
drink in all that the fairest Cape has to offer.
We also take time out in this issue to
take a close look at a number of the Legacy
Lifestyle partners, join the Lifestyle team at
their beach party and catch up with headline
act Goldfish. We have also introduced a
section that allows you to decide where to visit
and where to go out while in South Africa.
In short it is a bumper issue and we hope
that you are able to draw your own inspiration
from the experiences, places, and people
in this issue. We would also like to take
this opportunity to wish all of our readers a
fantastic 2013 and trust the year ahead brings
all your hopes and dreams to fruition. Here's to
