In 2012 swimming once again raised its head
in the life of this now princess and before the
curtain raiser to the 2012 summer Olympics
held in London, she invited the South African
team to come and spend time training in the
principality of Monaco.
This not only highlighted her love for the
sport, but once again cemented the ties she
has with her home country, having once swum
under its Olympic banner. It was here that

Those who have had the honour of her
company and who know her well, speak highly
of Charlene, they mention her sensitivity,
her heart and her passion for all people but
specifically for those in need.
Today she doesn't only stand as a
princess amongst men and women, but she
also stands as an icon of grace, elegance and
sophistication she is the woman other women
aspire to be, whether it is through her nature
or her style, whether it is in Akris or Armani
designer clothing, or simply in her swimming
trunks, Charlene is a true icon and a real
princess.
