The Wolverine
The X Men franchise continues with the second film dedicated to
Wolverine. In the film, Wolverine travels to Japan where he confronts
samurai steel and his ultimate nemesis. Starring Hugh Jackman and
directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine is definitely a comic book
movie that deserves a cinema viewing.
Romeo and Juliet
The world's most famous love story gets yet another cinematic makeover.
Starring Haillee Steinfield and British actor Douglas Booth as the
star-crossed lovers, this adaptation of Romeo and Juliet is perhaps
closer to the original Shakespeare work than Baz Lurhmann's epic
1996 interpretation. Also starring Paul Giamatti and Gossip Girl's Ed
Westwick, this is definitely one to watch if you're looking for some good,
old-fashioned romance.
Only God Forgives
Another stylish thriller featuring Ryan Gosling, Only God Forgives
tells the story of Julian, a drug smuggler living comfortably among the
Bangkok underworld. When his brother is murdered, and his mother
compels him to find out who's responsible, Julian begins to raise hell. If
you liked Gangster Squad, you'll definitely like Only God Forgives.
Grown Ups 2
After having such an awesome summer three years back, Lenny (Adam
Sandler) decides to move his family back to his childhood town, and
have his children grow up around familiar faces. But things don't go as
smoothly as he first imagined. Also starring Chris Rock, Kevin James,
Salma Hayek, David Spade, and Maya Rudolph, Grown Ups 2 is a light-
hearted flick that will keep you laughing and screaming out for more.
The Lone Ranger
Directed by Gore Verbinski, and based on the American Old West
character serials of the same name, The Lone Ranger centres on Tonto,
a Native American Spirit Warrior, who reveals the untold tales of John
Reid. As the film unravels, so does the story of John Reid, who is
transformed from being a man of the law to a legendary figure of justice.
Starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Armie Hammer, The
Lone Ranger is set to be a stylish and triumphant Disney release.
