hange is a beautiful thing. It makes room for new
beginnings and new ideas and with `The Festival Issue'
we have implemented a few new features and have made
room for sections that haven't been in the magazine for
a while. Fashion Focus is back with a major bang. It is
the perfect addition to an already bustling issue and
this time around we meet US based upcoming designer
Emily Tonkin and her brand 30Fifteen. I am also very
excited about our very first `Beauty 101'- a simple feature
where we speak with our fabulous Wonder Women
and other talented female `featurettes' to find out about
their best kept beauty secrets. The feedback on our latest
cover with the absolutely stunning Alisha White has
done more than turn heads and is definitely one of my
favourite covers to date.
With the sun out and being at its sweltering best,
our choice to focus on all things `Festivals' was more
than fitting. In this issue we highlight festival fever in
Fashion, Beauty, Music and even in Health! Even with
all of the amazing articles in place this month, we have
ensured that you still get your bi-monthly instalment of
inspirational and empowering articles to help keep you
focused on your goals.
I'm still on a high from this year's Yahoo Wireless
Festival. I had the pleasure of watching Superstars Jay-Z,
Rihanna and Justin Timberlake rip up the stage and
entertain the crowd for well over 2 hours! Wireless is
a more popular festival but this month we provide you
all with a little insight into another young and vibrant
festival which takes place in Poland; the Heineken
Opener Festival.
My choice pick when it comes to articles I feel you need
to read this month is the `Festival Downers'. The festival
season may be a time to have fun and party. However,
there is always a flip side and this time around, I chose
to focus on the party drugs that many people are
consuming as well as highlighting the risks.
The issues get bigger and bigger and with it comes even
more quality articles that you can read and share with
your friends. As always, I hope you enjoy `The Festival
Issue' and I would love your feedback and comments.
