Les Miserables
Les Miserables, the all-star, musical extravaganza, has been one of the biggest movies
of 2013 thus far. Set in post-revolutionary France, Jean Valjean is released from
prison, and breaks his parole when he agrees to look after young Cosette. These
events change their lives forever. Starring Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, and
Anne Hathaway, amongst so many others, Les Miserables is a classic.
Django Unchained
Quentin Tarantino's controversial revenge-drama has its DVD release. Starring Jamie Foxx,
Leonardo Di Caprio and Christoph Waltz, this bloody drama tells the story of freed slave
Django, who takes on a revenge vendetta after his wife, is taken slave. You either love or hate
Django Unchained, but either way, it's a film not to be missed.
Lincoln
As the civil war continues to rage, President Lincoln desperately tries to emancipate
African American slaves, whilst keeping peace within his own cabinet. Starring Daniel
Day Lewis, in one of his most unforgettable, iconic roles ever, Lincoln is a compelling,
historical watch, with some stellar performances.
Flight
Denzel Washington excels in his role as alcoholic pilot Whip Whitaker. Whilst under
the influence of liquor and drugs, Whip heroically lands a malfunctioning plane. As an
investigation is led about the circumstances of the crash, Whip descends further into a pit of
lies and addiction. Flight is an incredibly solid, emotional film.
Wreck-It Ralph
An arcade-game villain, tired of being the bad guy, sets his sights on being a hero, causing
havoc along the way. A classic in the making, Wreck-It Ralph has all the quirk and
awesomeness of the best Pixar movies. A feel good movie for the kids and adults too.
