Alpha H Liquid Gold £31.50
This product has had major hype in the beauty blogging world, and although I don't
think it's the answer to all our beauty prayers, I absolutely love it. It claims to 'tackle
hyper-pigmentation, acne, fine lines and large pores, reversing some of the symptoms of
ageing and sun damage-like having a facial in your sleep'. Applied every other night; the
glycolic acid acts as a serum and chemical exfoliant to the skin (which sounds scary but
actually worked so much better for me with less irritation than physical 'bead' exfoliants).
It didn't solve any major breakouts, but it did help with the consistency of my skin,
shrinking large pores, and generally made my skin look brighter and healthier, so this
has to go in my monthly favourites!
Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturising Balm £34
This is the absolute star of light coverage foundations for dry irritated skin,
and works beautifully on mature skin. It does have the texture and tingle of a
balm, so it moisturises the skin throughout the day, yet with a bit of powder
on not so dry areas, it still can be used on combination skin that isn't too
oily. Great shades available for all skin tones. Love it.
L'oreal Ever Strong Nourishing Intense Mask £6.99
New from L'oreal Paris is their 'Ever Strong' range of hair products and this mask is
lovely and such a bargain as I think it rivals a lot of expensive products at triple the
price tag. As part of their non-sulphate cleansing system, this mask has a formula
that is enriched with botanical rosemary and mint oils which are perfect for colour
damaged hair, or dry hair in general. This product left my hair gorgeously soft and
shiny, without making it get greasy too quickly.
Barry M Gelly Nail Polish £3.99
Barry M's Gelly range are so beautiful, I under estimated their power to really look like gel
nails manicured in the salon. Although, I don't think they are great at lasting for a long time
on the nails, they stayed on for approx 3 days without chipping, and I just love the high shine
they give, as I'm not a massive fan of matte varnish just yet. My favourite colours for this
season are 'Lilac' and 'Papaya'.
