Herbal Teas are a phenomenon that has a multitude of benefits to the human body.
However, although they are called `teas' and look like teas when brewed; they are actually
not teas at all. No herbal tea in any form is a tea because they don't come from the
Camellia Sinensis bush, where all teas originate from. Instead, `herbal teas' are actually
infusions and each infusion has its own medicinal property that has been used to heal/
cure a number of well known health conditions. The correct name for these infusions is
in fact called tisanes and they are a concoction of seeds, nuts, bark and flowers.
There are a number of notable benefits that herbal teas are proven to assist with and
in our review we will be focusing on the four `wonder teas' Green, Nettle, Rosehip and
white tea.
Green Tea
Green Tea has been used as a medicine for many
years and is known to lower blood pressure. Green
Tea is also beneficial with assisting with weight loss as it helps to increase the
bodies' metabolism. This is heavily due to the polyphenol found in green tea
which works to intensify the levels of fat oxidation. Green Tea contains both
anti viral and anti bacterial agents which means that it can be effective in
healing a number of common ailments.
Nettle Tea
Nettle Tea is one of the most sweet tasting infusions that you will ever taste and
it is made even better with a swirl of organic honey. Herbal teas in general work
best when combined with a healthy eating plan and can enhance the overall
health of those who drink it. Nettle Tea is a general health tonic and is known
to help treat anaemia, asthma and common allergies like hay-fever.
White Tea
If you have problems with your skin, whether it be the odd pimple to mild
acne, white tea is the infusion you must implement into your diet. Studies have
shown that white tea can thin the blood and improve artery function. It helps
to lower high blood pressure and maintain healthy levels. White tea is filled
with catechins; anti-oxidants which have been found to reduce cholesterol.
