the early days of transportation as well as movies and photo-
graphs on rail travel. Hosted by Mid-Mo Railfan and Columbia

flashlight easter egg hunt
Get ready for the annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt! Win prizes!
Columbia's Parks and Recreation will be teaming up with Miz-
zou's Parks, Recreation and Tourism students to bring the com-
munity this event that will help fund other family oriented
events throughout the year. Bring a flashlight and basket. Pre-
registration required.
Register early, limited number of spaces. Registration dead-
line: Monday, March 18.

Bring your children (ages 12 and under) out for a free, fun can-
dy-filled Egg Hunt before Easter. There will be 2 separate hunts
in different areas designated by age. Kids will also enjoy other
activities such as coloring, face painting, pinning the Easter eggs
in the basket and more. Hunt will begin at 12:45 pm. NOTE:
Please call 817-5077 if you or your organization would like to
volunteer by hosting a game or activity.

Rainbow Softball Parking Lot, Cosmo Park
Trucks and other vehicles of all shapes and sizes will be on
display for you to admire, wander around, climb on, and sit
in. Access the Rainbow Parking Lot through main entrance of
Cosmo Park. This event is free and held in rain or shine. Free!
kite flying day
Saturday, April 6, 12-2 pm
Douglass Park
Bring your kites and let's have a great time. A limited number of
kites will be given to children that do not have one to fly. The
contest categories are Largest Flying Kite, Smallest Flying Kite
and the Highest Flyer. Prizes will be awarded to winners. The
event is FREE! Rain date is Saturday, April 13.

Join in this free, public festival celebrating the Earth. Enjoy

wonders of wildlife (w.o.w.)
May 10-11, Philips Park
Columbia W.O.W. National Outdoor Recreation and Conserva-
tion School is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend the
weekend camping together and learning new skills. Our low cost
2013 school includes classes like Lake Fishing, Archery, Kayak-
ing, and Rain Barrel Making. Kids Camp and Young Adventurers
allow parents to go to class while their children learn from our
outdoor experts as a group. All meals are provided and night
time activities include night hikes, s'more building and star
gazing. Join us for this fun recreational filled weekend in May!
