The 50+ programs are designed to meet the needs of seniors and the community by promoting healthy aging.
We welcome your participation. Registration for any of the 50+ programs, classes, or Older American Klub can be
done by phone at 5738747475 or at the office located at Stephens Lake Activity Center, 2311 E Walnut during
business hours 9 am4 pm Monday through Friday. You can access a 50+ calendar or OAK Tours newsletter online
at www.GoColumbiaMo.com under Parks and Recreation, 50+.
Welcome to the Stephens Lake Activity Center, located
on the north side of Stephens Lake Park, ½ mile east of
Old Hwy 63. Our facility is available for a multitude of
activities and classes for all ages. Come join in the fun!
Stephens Lake Park with its playgrounds, sprayground,
lake and 2 concrete trails of 1.7 and .8 miles around
the park and lake are just across the street.

Participants in Stephens Lake Activity Center recreational activ-
ities pay an annual membership to support SLAC activities. Sev-
eral options are available for individuals or couples residing at
the same address. There is also an option to join the OAK Tours
travel program. Prices are detailed on the registration form
in this section. Most activities are included unless otherwise
indicated. Join by completing and returning the application by
mail or in person to the Stephens Lake Activity Center. Benefits
include use of facility for numerous activities and programs.
Membership is not needed for fee based classes. =
musical volunteer opportunities
Our musical groups volunteer their time and talents to enter-
tain. That includes practicing together at Stephens Lake Activi-
ty Center and going to local retirement centers, nursing homes,
schools, and other facilities to perform and bring joy to others
in the community. If you want to make a difference, join us
and see the smiles on the faces in the audience. Confirm prac-
tice and performance dates and locations at 874-7475.
Bell choir
plays with 4 octaves of light weight melody
chimes. It is as easy to play as bending your elbow and moving
your arm.

potluck, dance and game night
Potluck setup begins after 4 pm, meal begins about 4:30 fol-
lowed by both live music and games. Lots of room for dancing
and for both quiet or noisy games and Wii competitions. The
evening winds down about 8 pm. Bring a dish for the potluck.
Snacks also welcome for later.
