spanish workshop for kids
This workshop will help children learn basic Spanish words/
language through arts and crafts plus other fun activities.
Workshop will be based on theme of Cinco de Mayo. The 1st
week will be arts & crafts, 2nd week will be music, 3rd week will
be games and 4th week will be food. Email Mary at madewey@

This group of percussionists enjoy being in the public eye. The
group is directed by Glen "Bummer the Drummer" Ward, and
has performed in the Holiday Parade in November and First
Night on New Year's Eve. If you are interested in expanding
your knowledge of percussion and being part of a fun group,

instructor for the classes. He can help your child become a
better percussionist as well as play their saxophones & clari-

We would like to develop a Flag Line to accompany our Drum
Line in several parades and other performances throughout
the year. If you are a young lady age 11-17 who is interested,
please contact us. We would also like to find an adult willing
to volunteer time to work with this group, develop routines &
prepare them for performances. For more information, leave a

Beginning piano

tee up summer junior golf lessons
Free Junior Golf Camp sponsored by the Columbia Golf Foun-
dation at L.A. Nickell Golf Course. Golf instruction will be
offered by area amateur players, High School golf coaches, High
School golf team members, MU golf team members and local
PGA golf professionals in full swing, chipping, putting and on
course etiquette. The use of golf clubs will be provided to all
registered participants. Comfortable dress and stable shoes are
required.
There is no cost for this program, but a donation of $10 or
more to the Columbia Golf Foundation would help to defer
costs and would be appreciated. Donations may be given to the
Columbia Golf Foundation at the lessons or by mail: Colum-

2013 tuesday scramBle golf league
May 21-July 30
Each Tuesday, for 10 weeks beginning May 21, at L.A. Nickell
Golf Course a two-person 9-hole scramble golf league will be
held with a shotgun start at 5:30 pm. Deadline to enter each
week is 10 am the day of the event. To sign up, call 445-4213.
Registration begins at 8 am Monday prior to event and ends at
10 am the day of event. Tournament is limited to the first 26
teams to sign up per week. A minimum of 18 teams required to
hold the event. Flights and places will be determined by size of
each week's event. Entry fee of $10 per person plus applicable
green fee and cart fee. Annual pass holders pay $10 per person
plus cart fee.
