Patient Advice and Liaison
Service (PALS)
PALS can assist you if you need help or advice as a patient, service user, relative or carer.
PALS is an impartial and con dential NHS service that can help to resolve any problems or concerns an individual may
have about the services they are receiving.
North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus PALS can help
individuals who use the following services:
GP
Dental
Optical
Pharmaceutical
Community nursing
Mental health
Adult social care
Any other commissioned services
PALS is about listening, learning and working with you
to improve your local services. PALS will:
Help answer your questions about the Care Trust
Plus (CTP) or your care
Advise and support you if things go wrong
Respond to your concerns and problems
Listen to your suggestions for improving services
You can also ask a friend or relative to contact PALS on your behalf but we must have your permission before we can
discuss your personal circumstances.

PALS may need to collect personal information from you in order to look into your concerns but all information
remains con dential and is kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Complaints, comments,
compliments and concerns
The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) does not replace the Health and Adult
Social Care Complaints Regulations 2009 (England).
North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus is committed to listening, responding and
improving. If you are unhappy with the treatment or service you have received from
the Care Trust Plus, you are entitled to make a complaint. The complaints procedure
applies to adult social care and mental health services, and all local NHS services.
If you would like to make a complaint or raise a concern, inform us of a compliment
or make a comment, or for any advice, support or information on any aspect of the
complaints procedure, please contact the PALS service (contact details above).
