In 2009 Telenor Norway set up its own business
assurance
unit, as did all companies within the
Telenor Group. The BA unit will ensure that the
whole of our company operates in an effective
manner and for the benefit of people, society and
the environment.
A high ethical standard for
us and our suppliers

In order to ensure a high ethical standard in
every part of our operations Telenor Norway has
established a set of ethical guidelines with which
all suppliers must undertake to comply. The
guidelines are set out in a separate agreement
called agreement on responsible business
Conduct (abC)
. Every time we enter into a new
supplier agreement the supplier must sign this ABC
document.
Annual risk assessment of all suppliers
In 2012 we had some 500 different suppliers.
Most supplier agreements are entered into for a
lengthy period. Every year Telenor Norway's BA
team conducts a risk assessment of all suppliers
in order to ensure compliance with our guidelines.
Suppliers who might be in the risk zone are asked
to complete a very comprehensive questionnaire.
The questions we ask aim to provide us with an
overview of the working conditions and safety
of the supplier's employees, including whether
those employees have full freedom to organise
and benefit from an adequate HSE programme.
The questionnaire will also capture whether the
supplier has foreign employees or employees
under 18 years of age so that we can ensure
