LSTAR Chief Executive Officer
Operations
The Board of Directors and LSTAR staff are deeply committed to providing valuable resources to Members, so they
have the optimal technology and tools to successfully serve their clients. Integral to this service is a robust and reliable
MLS® experience, education and knowledge sharing to enhance professionalism, and effective political and community
advocacy.
As stated earlier, this vision is clearly laid out by the Association's Strategic Plan: to be the resource of choice for
REALTORS® and their communities; to enhance member professionalism by providing education, tools and advocacy.
LSTAR has also embraced its responsibility to drive positive change and build strong, healthy and equitable communities
where Members passionately serve.
As of December 2022, LSTAR was made up of 2,272 REALTOR® Members. There were 114 active MLS® subscribers,
287 active Key subscribers, and 60 Appraisers. Despite interest rate hikes and a cooling housing market, 276 new
REALTOR® Members joined LSTAR by the end of year.
BrokerBay
Through the summer months, LSTAR supported Member Brokerages in transitioning to BrokerBay, the Association's new
showing management system. This followed a decision made in September 2021 by LSTAR's Board of Directors that
ShowingTime® be replaced by BrokerBay as LSTAR's Showing Appointment App as part of LSTAR's 2022 Master Service
Agreement with ITSO.
ReallyTrusted
In May, LSTAR announced that ReallyTrusted was made available to all LSTAR Members and Member Brokerages.
ReallyTrusted is a Canadian technology provider offering FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Report Analysis Centre of
Canada) compliance services for REALTORS® and Brokerages through a mobile app and desktop software. Supporting
efforts to help Members navigate FINTRAC, ReallyTrusted includes features such as compliance officer-level database
for audit reports and risk abatement and remote FINTRAC identification using privacy-compliant identity verification (using
facial recognition through a mobile app when clients are not physically present).
OneHomeTM
In May, the new OneHomeTM client portal for MatrixTM was launched. OneHomeTM and MatrixTM work seamlessly together
to take collaboration and customer service to a new level. OneHome® also offers you more insights on your clients than
before, making it easier to know what types of homes they're looking at and responding to.
