TRIUMPHS AND TIDBITS
Celebrity coup
Saltus Trustee
Lisa Baumgartner
(Mom to
S6
Braeden
, S5
Brett
and S2
Rachel
) has
taken Hollywood celebrity circles by
storm--with her reusable cloth napkins for
kids. Inspired by the need for child-sized,
eco-friendly serviettes, Lisa created
"Funkins" (www.myfunkins.com) for her
own kids' lunchboxes--and the product
took off. Launched in North America last
fall, Funkins won a Parent Tested Parent
Approved (PTPA) Award, then was
selected as an exclusive brand showcased
at both the Golden Globes and Oscars
celebrity-gifting suites. This August,
Funkins debuts internationally, and in
September Lisa will hand out Funkins to
stars at the Emmy Awards in L.A. Saltus
has played a big part in Funkins' success,
says Lisa, who staged photo shoots on
campus--S2
Alice Barnard
was featured
on People magazine's website--and
donated Funkins painting aprons to
Cavendish teachers and students.
Check Funkins on Facebook for her
new line of products.
