Saltus athletes represented Bermuda on
national swim and athletics teams at this
spring's Carifta Games, held in Jamaica
and the Bahamas respectively. S7

Irby
competed in six events in the swim
competition--200 breast stroke, 100
freestyle, 50 freestyle, 200 individual
medley, 400 freestyle and 50 butterfly--
improving her personal best in each and
qualifying for July's Central American and
Caribbean Swimming Amateur Swimming
Confederation (CCCAN) championships in
San Jose, Costa Rica. She also made it to
the finals of the 100-metre freestyle--an
impressive showing at her first Carifta,
noted National Swimming Coach
