SALISBURY Becky Jaffe of
Oakland, Calif., was awarded the
grand prize in the Ward Museum of
Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University,
3rd Annual Art in Nature Photo Fes-
tival's photography contest with her
photo Evidence: Gesture III.
Nearly 900 entries were received
from 160 photographers represent-
ing 11 states.
Robert Madden of Stevensville,
Md., won Best in the Professional
Division with his photo Aerial of Ge-
othermal Spring; Janet Kerr of Tay-
lors Island, Md., won Best in the
Amateur Division with her photo,
Smoky Sunrise; and 11-year-old
Daniel Irons of Queenstown, Md.,
won Best in the Youth Division with
his photo, Grumpy Pants. Grumpy
Pants was also the People's Choice
award winner for best photo. Their
photos along with the best in cate-
gory winners are on display at the
Ward Museum through Oct. 18.
The grand champion prize pack-
age included $500, a one-year
membership to the Adobe Creative
Cloud and a Wimberley side mount
tripod head. The best professional
prize package included $300 and
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The
best amateur prize package includ-
ed $200 and Adobe Photoshop
Lightroom. The youth prize package
included $100 and Adobe Photo-
shop Elements 10.
Adobe and Wimberley, official
sponsors of the Art in Nature Photo
Festival, provided the prizes. Addit-
ionally, ribbons were awarded to
first-, second- and third-place win-
ners in all divisions and categories.
Honorable mention ribbons were al-
so awarded in the Amateur and
Youth divisions.
