Parker decided to pursue his further education in the UK, and in September 2007, took a place in Manchester Metropolitan University, studying International Business. As a course requirement, he attended Padua (Padova) University, Italy, for a year, enjoying visits to Venice, Verona, Rome, Florence, Sardinia and Seville, Spain. He returned to Bermuda last summer, where he was employed at ACE Insurance (his second year with the company) and then returned to the UK to complete his degree. Andrew Osborne (’06) studied Economics and Geography at McGill University, Montreal, on a BFIS Brian Hall Scholarship, played on the golf team, and is interested in anything to do with climate change. He is now employed at ACE. Lawrence Doughty (’08) worked as Bryce Pantry (’06) transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design, GA. He is majoring in Illustration and will pursue a Masters in Art Education. Katie Davidge (’07), who joined the Swifts field hockey team while in the Secondary Department, says Hockey is still her favourite sport and has started playing with the Cambridge City team in England. Former Swifts field hockey player Golfer Nicholas Jones (2007) turned Erica Parsons (’09) plays for the a park ranger in Bermuda last summer before returning to Cardiff University, Wales, where he is studying Environmental Geo-Science. Mark James (’08) is in his third year at Queen’s University, Ont., majoring in Geography. He plays intramural soccer at Queen’s and also plays squash and skis whenever possible. James Waddell (2009), studying at the Central School of Dance in London, performed in Swan Lake at the Bermuda Civic Ballet presentation at City Hall last August. pro last October and scored a second win in his third Florida Moonlight Tour. Tigers varsity team at Dalhousie University. The team won the Atlantic university Sport Tournament. At Dalhousie, Erica is studying Commerce in the co-op programme. She completed a co-op with Alterra Bermuda, where she hopes to return in September for another work term. Nea Pantry (’09) is attending George Brown College, Toronto, Ont. The U19 Bermuda National Rugby team won the North American & Caribbean Rugby Association’s Under-19 Championship in the Bahamas last year, and received a Special Recognition Award at the 2011 Bermuda Sports Awards. The team includes Saltus alumni John Barnes (SGY ’10), Brynley Toms (2009), Rory O’Kelly-Lynch (2009), Dylan O’Kelly-Lynch (2011), Michael Coles (2010), Nicholas Chilvers (2010), James Gilmour (2011), and current SGY2 student Edward DeSilva. One of the team coaches is James “Herbie” Adderley (’94). Charles works for Keefe Bruyette & Woods and Douglas is a D&O underwriter for Allied World. They share an apartment in Pacific Heights and play golf, soccer and ice hockey in local leagues, and ski at Lake Tahoe. Both graduated from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA, Charles with a Mechanical Engineering degree and Douglas with a degree in Economics (he spent a semester in Sydney, Australia, at Macquarie University during his junior year).
