Students from all departments have delighted audiences with theatrical productions. Secondary students performed Hamlet at the School Shakespeare Festival under the guidance of Drama teacher Rebecca Dorrington. Lower and Upper Primary children got busy with Christmas productions. There was a large Saltus contingent in the BMDS panto, The Firebird. And in February, Secondary students staged an avantgarde production of The Tulssa Academy in the Gosling Centre. Art prodigy S11 Nahshon Hollis
won rave reviews in the Bermuda Society of Arts annual Schools Art show for his prodigious talent. Nahshon entered an oil portrait of himself which he’d done as a school art project. “It’s the painting that stole the show,” enthused the
Bermuda Sun. “A poignant self-portrait carrying the hallmarks of a gifted professional.” Nahshon’s interest in art began at age two; since then he’s attended art camps at Boston University, had a solo show at the Masterworks Museum, and sold numerous pieces of his work.
