Photos courtesy Louise Manson. It was now time to start thinking about the trip home. Mum and I pulled out of SIEC at 4.30 am Monday morning with a contented Trumby and a tired, if not more experienced, Leroy. Trumby was glad Leroy had matured somewhat during the trip even if there was still a little exuberance demonstrated at times. With our own beds and familiar paddocks calling, happy horses who were eating and drinking well, we came home in three days. This has been an invaluable experience for me. It would not be possible without the support of my sponsors and I would like to thank them for their ongoing commitment to my career – thanks go to Cadbury Fundraising, Eliva Park, Equestricare, Equestrian at Brookleigh, Mitavite, Prestige loans and Valley Equine Veterinary Centre. Now home and settled, Leroy is feeling quite chuffed as he has been moved out of the young horse paddock and now shares a paddock with Trumby!
