FOCUS
on clinics
Pictorial
words and photos by Brooke Benbow
Karratha Adult Riding Club held a HorseHand Clinic with Jodie Kelvy from Echuca, Victoria, on the 13th, 14th and 15th of April 2013. A two day clinic was held for a total of 10 riders, with a day of private and individual lessons being held on the last day. Jodie runs a ‘Sixth Sense Horsemanship’ clinic - a conscious awareness of the inner nature of the horse. During the clinic riders worked on becoming more confident, focused, understanding and knowledgeable around their horse. Horses and riders started out with communication on the ground and then progressed to work under saddle. Lots of fun and learning was had by all and it certainly got participants thinking ‘outside the square’.
