Below: AWHA mare of the moment Sonique (Imp) (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall x Akzent I) owned by Marjory Radford of Wedgewood Lodge Stud, Darling Downs. Sonique, a 16.3hh 7 year old mare, was imported in 2011 and since then has done exceptionally well, although its perhaps not surprising as her full sister is the current Grand Prix Champion in Finland! She has won the Supreme Ridden exhibit at the Gala Showcase two years in a row and was Supreme Ridden Warmblood at the 2012 Perth Royal Show. Marj says she is a pleasure to compete with, always willing, and a brilliant attitude to work with soft and expressive paces. During the 2013 Trakehners Australia and AWHA Ltd Assessment Tour Sonique impressed all who witnessed her in action. Not only did she win her Studbook Led Class on 87.14%, she was also the highest scoring Studbook Led Horse in Western Australia and on tour, placing equal first in her Studbook Ridden Class with a score of 83.00%, the highest scoring Studbook Ridden Horse for Western Australia and equal first Studbook Ridden Horse on tour.
