Bonnie Rock ODE
On Sunday 21st of April the Bonnie Rock Horse and Pony Club held its annual One Day Event. Riders from all around the central wheatbelt converged on Bonnie Rock with a very pleasing 30 plus entries. “The weather was kind to us and those camping out enjoyed the quiet ambiance of being out in the bush,” said Club President Mrs Pam Spark.

Joanna Poole and Suzi Sprigg designed two cross country courses one for the led-ins and the other larger course for the E and D grade riders. Mrs Spark said, “this year our riders were challenged by the much talked about new jump called the Sensational Satellites.” Megan Brooks and Christine Bowron designed the show jumping course and Michelle Nicholls ensured the dressage arena was in tip top shape. The day progressed without a hitch with all riders finishing a most enjoyable meet. “We very much would like to thank our course judges, Rose Bowen, Pam Yates and Claire Stevens, and also our many volunteers and sponsors. Without you, an event like this just does not happen,” said Mrs Spark. The Bonnie Rock Horse and Pony

Club’s next big day is in June with the annual zone gymkhana planned. Mrs Spark said the club looks forward to welcoming everyone back for more fun and experience.
