Axis co-founder ranked global number one
Axis Communications' Martin Gren, one of the co-
founders and board member at the company, has
been named by Ifsec as the most influential player
globally within the security and fire industries.
Ifsec Global, focusing on the secu-
rity and fire industries, has listed
the 40 most influential people in
the world in these industries. The
list was produced in connection
with the 40th Ifsec International
exhibition which will be staged in
Birmingham in May.
"I am very happy and hon-
oured to be ranked as global
number one in the security and
fire industries," says the Swede
Martin Gren, board member
of Axis Communications and
one of the founders of the
company.
Sweden in general and Axis in
particular are well represented in
the top ten. The two Swedes Per
Björkdahl, chairman of the board
of ONVIF and also director of
strategic business development at
Axis Communications, and Alf
Göransson, president and CEO
of Securitas, clinched third and
seventh place respectively. Keith
Bloodworth, another co-founder
of Axis Communications and cur-
rently CEO of CNL Software, was
placed sixth in the ranking.
