of salt of the earth people in the
many friendships I have devel-
oped with people in the credit un-
ion community over the years. To
all of you who have been part of
my work life over the years I
thank you for your good humor,
confidence, and inspiration.
The future of credit unions is
bright, but, as always, there will
be many challenges. Regardless
of the legislative, regulatory,
technological, or economic char-
acteristic of those challenges, the
solution will be found in coopera-
tion and collaboration. These are
the defining characteristics of
credit unions' success over the
years and they will be for future
years also. My best wishes and
thanks to all of you who will be
shaping the future credit unions.
