pies. And the best part is they are packed in cases of 3! So even the smallest retailer can offer organic pies this holiday season and throughout the year. There’s so much more, but I’d be remised if I didn’t talk about a supplier that I’ve partnered with out of Barcelona, Spain. They are Atrian bakeries. Again all of their products are organic. And they are some of the most flavorful breads that I’ve tasted! They also have some interesting breakfast pastries such as the apple Danish with fresh-sliced apples right on top. And they are easy to prepare…right from the freezer to the retailer’s oven! And to ensure we are on trend, we have a line of products from Flax for Life – all gluten free items that range from muffins to buns, granolas and even a gluten free
chocolate cake that is not only gluten free, but is made from flax flour so it is also highly nutritious and full of Omega 3s. And did I mention, they are moist and delicious!
It sounds like you have a lot of artisan products in the bakery category in terms of breads and desserts, what other categories do you have product in?
In addition to the artisan breads we have cakes, individual desserts, cookies, brownies, muffins, and even products for retailers to decorate their own cakes from Calebeaut and Dobla. These items are really cool and fun. Retailers will be able to offer their customers desserts that compete with the local upscale restaurants! And fudge, we’ve also partnered with Calico to offer a fudge program for our retailers. There are two ways
in which they can participate. For a modest investment, they can get all the equipment (including kettles and handtools they’ll need) to get in to the fudge business on their own. I mean, they can have their own fudge shop and sell over 200 different fudge items under their own store label. Or, if they do not want to make that type of investment, we also offer a pre-packaged fudge program.
My mouth is watering just thinking about all of these goodies, where can I sample some?
At our Holiday and Innovation Show, of course. And for retailers who are not in attendance, they can simply connect with their KeHE or Tree of Life account representative to get more information or to have one of our Fresh Team Sales Managers come make a presentation to them.
