tiful and characteristic restaurants with a menu of exclusively dishes from about the year 1400, and out in the field the tremendous war machines, the trebuchets, are fired daily. Often you can see chivalry tournaments, demonstrations of cannons or other fascinating events.
The country’s oldest preserved railway line
Smoke, steam and lots of nostalgia are some of the ingredients in summer, when the Museum Railway runs between Maribo and Bandholm. Originally, the line was opened in 1869 as Denmark’s first private railway line. It is now Denmark’s oldest preserved railway line.
