Take the post boat through the island nation S lotø, Vejlø .. the small islands in Nakskov Fjord are numerous and they each have their own history. Enehøje, that used to be the home of the Greenland traveller Peter Freuchen, and where the visitors are still met by a portal of huge whale jaws. Slotø, where the ruins of the old Engelskborg tells the story about an efficient fortification, where the cannons at the beginning of the 16th century protected the entry to Nakskov Fjord. And last but not least, the many bird islands, the favorite places for feathered visitors from far and wide for breeding and foraging in the shallow water.
