AND THE WINNER IS...
MarineMax Fishing Facebook photo contest.
marinemax recently held our fishing Photo contest that
asked people to submit their best fishing pictures on facebook.
fans were asked to vote for their favorite image.
the winner of the fishing Photo contest was Kerry Weber.
Her picture was among dozens of images posted by fans of the
facebook page. Kerry's picture received 113 votes, by far the
leading contestant.
Kerry's picture was taken during a fishing vacation with her
husband, Bill, and three other couples in los Barillas, mexico
on the sea of cortez.
"it was a nasty day, over cast, windy, rough," said Kerry.
"most of the charters didn't stay out long. We wanted to keep
fishing, so we did. We caught a few yellow fin tuna, the last
was the 45 pounder i got. it took me 45 minutes to get it in."
Kerry and her husband own an architectural company,
Weber Design Group in naples, florida and are avid fishing
enthusiasts and keep a 53-foot convertible sport fish on the
east coast of florida. you can find them fishing most often in
the atlantic and the Bahamas.
"i love fishing in blue water," explained Kerry. "Back water
fishing isn't exciting to me, although, i would like to catch a
tarpon one day!"
Kerry said her best day of fishing was a triple sailfish
hookup off the coast of Jupiter, florida just recently and she
was wearing her new marinemax fishing team shirt. Kerry is
also on the tournament team of the reel Darlins, a women's
fishing club with hundreds of members whose mission is
to unite women anglers who are passionate about fishing,
boating and on-the-water lifestyle. the reel Darlins like to give
back to communities though their charities.
Kerry and Bill are planning to a trip to san salvador,
Bahamas this summer where she will make great use of her
new costa sunglasses she won. congratulations Kerry!
