James Wessel of the U.S. Marines held a mini-
pull up contest for children attending the Ocean
Pines Big Truck Day.
Getting ready to square off in a friendly
cooking class showdown held earlier this
month at Ristorante Antipasti were Chefs Jim
Hughes of Restaurant 213 and Fausto DiCarlo
of Ristoranti Antipasti.
Selling bingo cards to players during the
weekly Friday night games at the Bayside Hall
on 99th Street were Knights of Columbus
Ocean City Council #9053 members Ron Mun-
ley and Bob McNulty.
After a long Saturday morning in the OC
Presbyterian Church hall for the spring rum-
mage sale, volunteers Marge Schaub and Gloria
Bizjak were literally ready to pack it up and call
it a day.
Evelyn Savage joined chocolate chip cookie
baker extraordinaire Jan Owens for a quick pic-
ture in the OC Presbyterian Church hall before
starting to clean up from their latest Rummage
Sale.
Marianne Phillips and Belinda Oakley, moth-
er and daughter, came from Fruitland to cheer
on Chef Jim Hughes of Restaurant 213, as he
competed against Fausto Dicarlo at Risorante
Antipasti in a friendly cook-off to wrap up the
restaurant's winter season cooking classes.
Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department members Bob Gilbert, Billy
Bounds and Ryan Bounds sold refreshments at the Big Truck Day to
raise money for their Steve Calloway Memorial Scholarship.
Back in the kitchen of Ristorante Antipasti helping out during the
June Cooking Class Showdown against Restaurant 213 Master Chef Jim
Hughes were Eric Morales, Paul De Huarte, Slavik Skurjats and Fausto A.
DiCarlo.
The Knights of Columbus holds bingo
games in the hall at 99th Street every Friday
night starting at 5 p.m., with volunteers Mary
Jane Maxwell, Joanne Coyle, Kathy Foote,
Louisa McCabe, Neil Foote and Bill Taylor
serving refreshments.
During their 50th anniversary on June 6,
Brandon Kelley, Ron Holland Jr., Ron Hol-
land Sr., Paul Redding and Mike Murray of
Holland Service Center in Berlin were on
hand to celebrate with everyone who stop-
ped by.
