Sarah Grizzle is the thirteen-year-old
daughter of Kevin and Kim Grizzle. She is a
blonde haired, blue-eyed cowgirl. She is an
eighth grader at Holtville Middle School,
carries a 4.0, and has been awarded
Student-of-the-Year three times. Sarah's been
a member of the Verde 4-H Club since 8 years
of age, serving as Historian, President and the
current Secretary. She has taken sewing,
cooking and project animals to the California
Mid-Winter Fair and Fiesta. She's shown
Feeder Calves, Dairy Replacement Heifers, and
Horses and will enter a steer, Raven, in 2015.
Her showmanship abilities earned her three
trips to the Large Animal Round Robin with a
2nd place best nish.
Sarah is really an athlete at heart. She
spent 6 years on the competing cheer team,
Flipz. Her coach commended her for her
dedication and made her a two time recipient
of "Best Tumbler" and four time recipient of
"Best in Attitude." As a swimmer, she has been
in the top three for freestyle in the Regional
Competition. She has a passion for
wake-boarding, running, horse riding, and
volleyball. Earning MVP for League Volleyball
was a personal best.
Sarah started asking her dad for a horse when she was 8. He made her wait two long years before
introducing her to the sport. She took lessons and learned all facets of the horse riding world barrel racing,
trail, jumping, horse showing, reigning and vaulting. Sarah participates in local Gymkhanas (her dad's her
favorite partner) and is a member of the Desert Valley Barrel Racing Association. She's done a little ranch
work with her Grandpa during school breaks and longs to compete in High School Rodeo. Sarah has met
some extraordinary people along her journey and is looking forward to representing the great people of
the Imperial Valley and our famous Cattle Call Rodeo.
