Tai chi can be best thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. Many of the movements are derived from the martial arts but in Tai Chi, the movements are performed slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth even transitions between them even transitions. The 50+ programs are designed to meet the needs of seniors and the community by promoting healthy aging. We welcome your participation. Our facility is available 9am‑4pm Mon‑Fri for a multitude of activities and classes for all ages. Come join in the fun! Stephens Lake Park with its playground, spray ground, lake and two paved trails of 1.7 and .8 miles around the park and lake are just across the street.

Participants in Stephens Lake Activity Center recreational activities pay an annual member fee to commit to and support SLAC activities. Several options are available for individuals or couples residing at the same address. There is also an option to join the OAK Tours travel program. Prices are detailed on the registration coupon following. Join by completing and returning the application by mail or in person to the Stephens Lake Activity Center. Benefits include use of facility for numerous activities and programs. It does not apply to fee based classes or musical volunteer opportunities.

Our musical groups volunteer their time and talents to entertain. That includes practicing together at Stephens Lake Activity Center and going to local retirement centers, nursing homes, schools, and other facilities to perform and bring joy to others in the community.
