Christmas is my absolutely favorite holiday and the one
time of year when there is no excuse not to go a bit crazy
with nail art. So many things around Christmas time
can inspire you: decorations, cards and wrapping paper,
food, the weather, music and films. Last year, a lot of my
clients had quite kitsch designs that had been inspired
from cards such as, reindeers, snowmen and snowflakes.
These were easy and quick to do but it left me craving a
client to come in and have something totally different!
As the nail industry becomes ever more readily available
to the public and clients can find out how to do a lot of
the simpler designs themselves, they expect their nail
technician to be able to do more and more. Therefore, I
think that this year clients are going to want more complex
designs. Christmas is my busiest time of year because
of all the parties people go to and also because a lot of
clients have time off work, so want to treat themselves to
lovely nails without worry of being asked to remove them
at work. So now is the time for us to stock up on supplies
and colours to be prepared for that Christmas rush!
Ideas for materials to stock up on could include: glitter
(in abundance,) foils, cracked ice, crushed shells,
crystals, and extra silver, gold and white paint.
All I need for Christmas is...
