WhAT YOU NEED
TO KNOW ABOUT
NAIL LAMPS
1. What power UV lamps to choose? is it true that
the one nine bulb lamps go now to rest? Can a high
power cause client's discomfort?
A power lamp is important,
especially for people working
in the nail industry to work
quickly. The most popular
is the UV lamp with four
bulbs. As we know, the
light rays do not "bend",
as they only fall vertically
and can only reflect from
the mirror's surface. So the
use of a number of bulbs in a
single lamp, set at different angles,
thus solves the problem to a large extent of curing
nails evenly on all sides, or of curing hard to reach
corners. In the case of single lamps, unfortunately
curing time increases due to the lack of capability of
curing all five nails at one time. Usually these are small
lamps, convenient for transport especially for mobile
nail technicians but they can significantly increase
operating time.
2. Why the quality of the cure is affected by the
quantity of light bulbs?
In the case of small lamps with only one bulb,
you have to control the position of the nails, and
check that all are located directly beneath the bulb.
Otherwise, you may find that it cures only part of
the product. However, though the one bulb light is
cheaper and the 4 bulb lamp has a high price, why
overpay?
3. How often should i replace the bulb: as
recommended by the manufacturer, or more often?
Replace light bulbs according to the manufacturer, or
more frequently, depending on the amount of work
you do. Bulbs should be also replaced earlier in the
case of contamination with hardened gel or when you
can see that it does not cure the product.
4. How do you clean the lamp?
To clean the inside of lamps usually use an alcoholic
specimen, such as a gel cleanser, if gel is not hardened
yet. Otherwise always use a soft, damp cloth which
can be supplemented with
a good detergent, such as
a cleansing cream (CIF).
Do not use nail varnish
remover or acetone!
5. it is better to choose a
lamp in a classic white or
match the decor?
Cleaning the lamp is also associated with the color.
We can buy a lamp in white and take care of its purity,
which also shows our passion for cleanliness. A nice
white lamp also inspires the trust of our clients about
the hygiene in our salon. In many cases, we are guided
by the belief that the colors are better, because you
cannot see dust or dirt, but is that what you want
to achieve? In fact the colour of the lamp does not
matter, but imparts a sense of taste and aesthetics
when integrated into the interior design.
6. What are the pros and cons of lED lamp?
LED lamps, or Light Emitting Diode lamps, have little
fluorescent light emitting diodes. They emit radiation
for the visible, infrared and ultraviolet light. Thanks to
its small size, long-life, high efficiency and simplicity
of technology, they are widely used in lighting and
electronic equipment. These properties have also
been used in the nail industry. The economic factor
in this case is very important. However, not every gel
can be cured in such a lamp. In this case, it is better
to use a traditional UV lamp, which, as the name
says, it emits ultraviolet light with the proper curing
light wavelength to cure the gel.
Before you buy, get well-
acquainted with the
properties of the
lamp.
