two things that are inherently dissimilar--guns, a
tool of violence, and angels, a symbol of religious
reassurance--while at the same time investigating
how both symbols share an aspect of absolute power.

believes that in a thousand-year-old tradition
such as glass, it is a challenge to be innovative.
Doriss has applied his concepts to the culturally
familiar icon of the vessel, using it as a vehicle
for his distinct vision.
